Description of the issue:
Unable to toggle the “passwords” option in Sync

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Brave not syncing psswords.com-video-to-gif-converter

Reproduces how often:

Every time, closed and opened, cleaned cache, reopened…

Brave Version:

Brave 1.68.128, Chromium 127.0.6533.73

Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question:

Mobile phone (my own; I have all three Brave editions and up to now Original and Nightly would sync perfectly; I have recently installed Beta and it would be forever downloading / connecting to my sync chain but never did, so I exported all I needed and restarted a chain from Beta; now Beta and Nightly go along swimmingly both with passwords happily toggled and syncing like crazy, but alas Original pouted and is boycotting the fact that it isn’t “his” sync chain)

Additional Information:

Samsung A34; Android 14; Build/UP1A.231005.007; One UI 6.1

Do you have password or biometrics lock setup on your device?

have both in my device and regarding the authorization when you attempt the “passwords” option either don’t work, tried both ways as you can opt for PIN in the biometrics popup window—

Hmm, weird. How about removing fingerprint lock and just keeping pin/password lock and trying again? :thinking:
