Unable to connect my Uphold account to Brave

Unable to connect my Uphold account to Brave. I get “Error: Region currently not supported”.

I’m a South African citizen and recently updated Uphold to my SA address using my SA ID card.
I verified my Brave rewards country as “Rewards country: ZA” under brave://rewards-internals.

OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2.
Brave: Version 1.58.137 Chromium: 117.0.5938.153 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past? Yes.
Are you using a VPN? Yes.
Are you in a supported region? Yes, I used my SA ID for Uphold account verification.

This may be your issue. What passport did you submit to them? The API reports to Brave which country you’re from based on your passport. If you had chosen a different country, then perhaps that’s part of the problem. So what did you update it from?

Keep in mind proof of address is different than the passport used in KYC/AML.
