Error: Region currently not supported even tho im in a supported region

Briefly describe your issue:
Currently have my brave region to France , and my uphold account is also france , yet each time i try to connect uphold to my rewards i get the Error: Region currently not supported :

Your Uphold account can’t be connected to your Brave Rewards profile at this time. Your Uphold account is registered in a country that’s not currently supported for connecting to Brave Rewards.

Is your passport from France?

Nope, but i did provide a student visa + bank statements + housing statements that proves that i live there.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t matter. Those documents work perfectly for the KYC/AML that Uphold has to do and would have you set in the system for what they need.

The problem is that Uphold built out the connection (API) so that it shows your country based off of the passport provided. So they would be reporting your country to be wherever your passport is from, which I’m assuming is a country that isn’t supported?

I have the same problem. I have polish passport, polish adress in uphold, but i can’t connect my uphold wallet to Brave. Is it possible to fix it?

  2. When you created you Uphold account, was it with your Polish passport?

  3. Did you choose Poland for your Rewards country? You can verify which country you chose by checking at brave://rewards-internals

  4. What version of Brave are you using (exact version, don’t just say “the latest”)

@Najzar well, Brave is outdated if nothing else. Not sure that it should cause the error you’re getting but would you mind updating and see if it resolves?

If updating makes no difference, then would take the message to indicate that Uphold has you registered for a country other than Poland. If you have ever lived elsewhere, I suggest you contact Uphold and see if they can check your documentation and advise of the message by Brave.

If you’ve only ever been in Poland and all documentation from the time you opened your account until now has only been Poland, then it might be a weird bug and best thing to do will be to create a https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001302431

But make before doing support ticket, make sure you check other things mentioned first
