Unable to change search engine in private tab

After the new update i am unable to change search engine in private tab while using tabs. If I want to change the search engine i need to close all private tabs and start new session to change the search engine. Even after changing the search engine in settings it still requires me to close all the private tabs to change the search engine, earlier i was able to open new tab and make the search right away after changing the search engine from settings but now it doesn’t go like that, is it a bug?

I am using Android brave browser.

Hello there @Anonymous2 in order to assist you further I will require the following information:

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Mobile Device details

In the meantime, please try deleting your cookies to see if this solves the issue:

  1. In Brave, open the main menu, then Settings --> Privacy
  • Note: You can also select Menu --> History --> Clear browsing data
  1. Select Clear browsing data

Let me know if that works.
