I just updated Brave via the Google Play store as usual, and the release note stated “added support for Brave Translate”.
The problem is that this option is nowhere to be found.
I have gone through every single setting in the app, cleared the cache and even deleted and re-installed the app, on both my devices.
What am I missing here?
I’m using the latest version of Brave 1.43.90, Chromium 105.0.5159.102, on two different units, one phone and one tablet, both running the latest version of Android 12.
Edit: I searched on Google and found the solution.
Go to brave://flags and enable internal translate engine (brave-translate-go) and Chromium Translate feature.
Edit 2: The above did enable the feature, but the translation box in the bottom of the webpage is always there, it won’t go away. It even pop up even though I never asked for it.
