Transfering Data to Fresh installed windows

So i have cookies and stuff on this account and i want to reset and wipe the whole windows and format it again and i want to keep my cookies and stuff there is any solution that i can export all the data on a usb and import it back in ?

If you have another device you can Sync to, I’d recommend using Brave Sync to do this. Outside of that, you’re going to likely lose some data if you’re reformatting. Here is what I would recommend doing if you don’t use Sync:

  1. Make a safe copy of your User data folder found in ~App Data/Local/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/ and save it to a USB stick
  2. Launch Brave and go to Settings --> Bookmarks and export your bookmarks directly (save to the USB stick or anywhere that file can be recovered)
  3. Go to brave://password-manager/settings and export your passwords in the same way
  4. Go ahead and reformat your PC, then reinstall Brave
  5. Paste and replace your saved User data folder over the one that came with the new install — things like cookies and history at minimum should appear in the newly installed browser. You can then import the passwords and bookmarks file as well.
