Please look at the picture and advise that this can be option - not having to save the torrent link and open via the bittorrent software.
This is one of the reason why I have to use Mozilla firefox purely for convenience…

If you disable the Webtorrent feature in Brave, you’ll be asked what to do with torrent/magnet file when you go to download it. Additionally, you can use the Save File option on the Webtorrent page (if it’s enabled) which will also ask you where/what you’d like to do with the file:
