The shield is alway disabled

Hey, I don’t know why and how to fix it, but it appears that on every site I visite, the shield is basically disabled, someone could explain me why ? Usually it is always on… now I have to manually active the shield every time I’m going to a new site. Thanks :slight_smile:

In order to restore the Shields UP default setting . . .

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData

Advanced tab:

  • Set ‘Time range’ to: All time
  • Enable: Site and Shields Settings

Clear data

Return to the setting and Disable: Site and Shields Settings

Clear data, again

Restart Brave Browser

(The “Clear data” button also saves the selections.)

Hey guys, I have this problem too! Am also studying the topic “My Brave Browser is Starting Up with Shields Down”.

I have tried this before, but by doing so I lost all of my password data and had to start over from scratch. and then within a few days, the problem started happening all over again!

I may be doing it wrong. What would I have to do to reset the browser shields to work properly and not lose all my passwords? I want to do it right this time. Thanks!

I have the same problem. Shields down as browser relaunch. I tried to clear data, check settings etc (all defaults). But shields is not working.

The problem started when I turned shields off for one website and then realise it’s not working at all.

Edit: Brave deleting and reinstalling didn’t help.
