I am trying to sync my IOS device with my Mac desktop. I start a new sync chain and see the code on the screen. Then I open brave on ios and scan the code. The phone vibrates but then just goes back to the settings page and nothing happens. I have used this function a year ago and it worked back then. Could there be any old data left over that is causing issues now ?

Do you see both devices listed on the Sync chain in Settings --> Sync?
No, they do not show up in the sync list, not on the desktop nor on the iOS device. Here are the screenshots.

Well it certainly should be working. Have you tried Syncing in the opposite direction (creating a Sync chain w/the iOS device first, then your computer)?
