Sudden high CPU usage when browsing

All of a sudden, about a week ago my browser started to behave strangely. The CPU fan kept turning on and when checked, both windows and brave task managers have shown that CPU usage was super high, and the weird thing is, this usually happens only with 1 tab open.

Running a Windows 10 Pro x64 1909, build 18363.959, Intel i7-8550U

Brave v 1.11.97 Chromium 84.0.4147.89

Hardware acc. disabled

Plugins: Privacy Badger, AdGuard AdBlocker, BetterTTV
