Brave CPU usage [ Windows 10 ]

Brave is taking highest CPU when

  1. Using websites like YouTube, especially with higher resolutions
  2. Using ad heavy websites
  3. sometimes on normal long-time use also

Chrome is doing good in these issues with the CPU usage and not much heat is generated with chrome on heavy video resolutions. Looking forward for the same/ better performance here as well.

Expected result: Low CPU consumption, easy on my PC, PC generate less heat

Brave Version:
Version 1.25.72 Chromium: 91.0.4472.101 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: I am really impressed with the brave browser’s idea and perfection right from the version1. I think this CPU consumption thing is a big issue in the entire browser and am seeking for a solution. Looking forward for updates in which this will be fixed. BTW brave search is really good. Thanks for all this.

Disabling Hardware Acceleration via brave://settings/system removes GPU load (also fixes some GPU issues). But also increases CPU workload. While the opposite is true, Enabling Hardware Acceleration lets the GPU do the video decode, improving CPU performance.

What GPU and CPU are you using?
