Description of the issue:
I noticed a few days ago that a youtube video I just clicked on froze up after 20 seconds and wouldn’t let me click pause or anywhere else on the page. It even gave the pop up of “Brave is not responsing”.
After watching other videos I noticed that for some reason it only happens with videos from 3 particular creators (so far) Safiya Nyaagard (https://www.youtube.com/@safiya), Visual Venture (https://www.youtube.com/@VisualVenture) and Charlotte Dobre (https://www.youtube.com/@CharlotteDobre)
I sent the links to my sister who also uses Brave, and she could watch them with no problems at all. If I watched those videos on an incognito tab there was no freezing.
At this point I have deleted all my cookies and cache, uninstalled Brave and installed again from scratch, yet the issue keeps happening.
Unsure if it’s related or not, but the issue repeats itself if I use Google Chrome but not if I use Microsoft Edge.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Not sure, I mean, my sister has the same version of Brave I do and she can see the videos with no problems at all.
Expected result:
Be able to watch videos from those creators without the page freezing after 20 seconds. I can get around it by watching them in a private tab but it would get annoying after a while.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.68.14, Chromium: 127.0.6533.120 (Btw, my sister is using this exact version)
Additional Information:
My laptop is running Windows 10 and I didn’t notice the issue until like 3 days ago when the newest Safiya video came out and I couldn’t watch it. So far, no other videos have given me this issue.
