Description of the issue:
On both my PC and my laptop, YouTube tabs that are playing videos become unresponsive (freeze) after a while. By unresponsive I mean the video turns black, audio keeps going but stops once the video ends, and refreshing the tab hangs. The issue goes away for a while if I close the tab and/or restart Brave.
I’m running Windows 11 Pro on both my PC and laptop, and it doesn’t matter if the YouTube tab is playing the video in the background or in the foreground. It happens when I enter picture-in-picture, too.
This issue happens randomly, after playing videos for a longer while (maybe 10+ minutes?).
Exact URL of the website in question: There is no specific video, however I will link the latest video this has happened on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTo4F2wlIjk.
Did the issue present with default Shields settings? yes
Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? yes (though I’m not 100% sure, because the timing of the bug seems random)
Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? no
Does the site work as expected when using Chrome? Not sure about Chrome, but it works fine on Edge.
