@General_Gazoo how are you trying to look for it? There are two locations.

The one is on your tab switcher. The box you press to switch tabs. If you press and hold it instead of just tapping you’ll see it there, along with other options.

The other location it shows up is if you had just tapped the tab switcher button and get to the menu where you switch tabs. If you look in the upper right, it’s there. When I first saw it I thought it kind of looked like eyelashes, but whatever you want to think.

From long pressing

From switch tabs area

I don’t see the function from any of the locations, from long pressing the tab switcher and from the tab area. I don’t see Shred option in settings (Settings → Shields & Privacy → Auto Shred) neither nor in the Advanced Controls

@General_Gazoo can you do me a favor and take screenshots of the areas I just showed? I’m just wanting to see exactly what you’re seeing. It should be visible on all. May also need to tag in @Mattches to see if he knows if perhaps it’s one of those features they are gradually releasing or something.

@General_Gazoo I was looking into some things. If you go to brave://flags you should be able to search for Shred. From there can enable yourself (assuming it’s there).

I’m guessing they may have this as one of those features that only activate to a certain amount of people at a time or something. If it’s not listed there either, then I’ll be curious to see what Mattches can help find out whenever he catches up to this topic.

Working now. The 2 flags are disabled by default!!

Thanks

They were enabled default for me. So it must just be where they are only activating at random.

Oh, and I didn’t even check into things deep enough yet. I should have read the article, lol. Just now realized it’s in Shields as well. So good to know we have site specific or default option as well. And can set to happen when closing tab, exiting the browser, etc.

Anyway, glad to know have it going for you now.
