I have recently noticed that when I go to a website after reloading Brave, it will usually either be on a prior page that was previously not there, or will have the settings reverted; this is mostly prevalent with YouTube.
My main issue, though, is that I have the shred data option turned off, so I don’t think it should be doing this. I have also turned off the option to block cross site tracking but it hasn’t helped.
The only solutions I’m finding are for the desktop version.
Can you elaborate a bit on the exact behavior you’re seeing? If I wanted to see this same behavior, what are the exact steps I would take to produce it? Also can you tell me what Brave version you’re using on iOS right now?
The settings for Brave should have shred data on exit set to never. The Brave shields are also set to aggressive.
I am unable to find another setting that controls what data is deleted.
To reproduce it what I did was change the (YouTube) settings from the default, go to the homepage, close the tab and reload the Brave app.
YouTube’s settings would then be back to the default the next time it was loaded.
With websites that show notifications being on the notification tab, when I reload the Brave app it will show notifications from a couple of days ago as if they were new.
I am using iOS Brave version 1.77.
