Severe visual Glitching in Brave in the forms of black checkerboard squares and black rectangles

I’m having severe visual glitching issues on Brave in the forms of black checkerboard squares and black rectangles appearing at random times for a split second. I am running Brave on HP OMEN 15-dc1038ur laptop with the latest version of Windows 11 and the latest GeForce graphics drivers. I’m only seeing these visual glitches in Brave with hardware acceleration turned on. I also have a second monitor plugged into the laptop via HDMI. Glitches still appear when I’m browsing Brave without a second monitor. Glitches do not appear in Firefox. I’m not sure what’s at fault here, Brave, Chromium, Nvidia, Windows, HP or my GPU is just broken. I’ve been seeing these visual glitches since I did a clean reinstall of Windows 11 last month.

Operating System and Brave Version: Windows 11 Pro 22H2 OS build 22621.2283, Brave Version 1.58.124 Chromium: 117.0.5938.62 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: HP OMEN 15-dc1038ur, GTX 1660 Ti, 16 GB RAM, Intel i7-9750H CPU.

Probably related to the GPU, try updating to the latest GPU drivers? (or maybe a slightly older gpu driver?)

I updated my GPU drivers today and so far haven’t encountered any glitches. I will update this if I see the glitches again.
