Description of the issue: Occasionally, random graphical glitches such as jet black checkered patterns appear for a split second on the display until some content changes such as the mouse moving.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Unknown, seemingly happens randomly with no specific cause.
Brave Version( check About Brave
): v1.65.123 (do note this issue has happened for months, only now I decided to make an issue).
This likely relates to this closed post which seems to have gone unanswered.
I am certain this is not a hardware issue as this ONLY happens in Brave, I never experience any artifacting during load while gaming as well as with other software which utilise Chromium hardware acceleration such as VSCode.
This happens occasionally (a few times, hours apart a day), I will attempt to capture a picture or a screenshot if it even shows up on it once I experience it again, but it seems to happen regardless of content displayed, mostly appearing on static page content, with the black checkered pattern only being the size of a few coins when comparing to real-world objects.
I haven’t found a pattern as to when this happens, but now that I’m paying more attention to it I’ll try to note some things down such as the time it happened, where on the screen, what page, what’s happening on that page, etc to see if I can find a pattern.
Hardware acceleration is turned on, and I am running latest Nvidia game-ready drivers on an RTX 3080.
