Setting brave search as default in MS Edge browser

Trying to add search.brave.com to be default search engine using MS edge browser. The topic found when I searched this issue is no help. What is the correct entries for the fields listed in the uploaded image.

@smfabac

I do not have Microsoft Edge. The following applies to using Brave Browser, yet the info may assist you:

Search engine: Brave

Keyword: :br (or br - not sure if colon is automatically included)

URL with %s in place of query: https://search.brave.com/search?q=%s

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/search

Find the setting: Search engine used in the address bar and select your choice.

(In Microsoft Edge, go to: edge://settings/searchEngines)

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/searchEngines

Your preferred keyboard shortcut, is what you designate, here:

Regardless of whatever search engine is chosen as Search engine used in the address bar . . .

When you want to search, using Brave Search and the URL address field for your search criteria . . . enter in the URL address field, for example:

  • :br wattsupwiththat
