Session does not persist across tabs in the same browser

1. Open page and log in.
2. Open a new tab and close the previous tab.
3. Open page.
4. Unexpected result: Session ended, requiring another login.

Expected result: Sessions should persist across tabs.

Undesirable workaround for expected result: Disable Shields

Without knowing if the bug has been fixed, it does not seem reasonable for a user to update Brave.

Update: As of 21 April, the previous version of Brave I had been using is impacted by this bug.
