Description of the issue: Attempting to search with a different engine will search with the default engine after switching tabs.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Either add a custom search engine or choose one of the included engines that is not your default.
- Activate the engine chosen in step 1 by typing its shortcut and then pressing Space or Tab (as per your setting in
brave://settings/searchEngines
).
- Enter a search query.
- Open or switch to another tab.
- Switch back to the tab with your search query.
- Press Enter to search.
Expected result: A search is performed using your chosen engine.
Actual result: A search is performed using the default engine.
