Quick search engine switch

Intuitive search engine switch like in other browsers by clicking search engine icon next to web address field on top.

I’m aware about search shortcuts. It’s not the same, and the fact that people have to point it out under every single such post, means that it’s a feature with bad and unintuitive design, it’s simply inconvenient.

Do you refer to the way it’s done in Firefox?

Yes. Also Vivaldi and few others which I can’t remember from the bat. It’s a long asked feature as I can see, weird that it’s still not implemented

Btw sorry I forgot to mention you CAN do it with Brave’s secondary search bar.
Incase you don’t have it enabled yet, click Customise (on bottom right corner of new tab page) > Search > Enable ‘Show search widget’.
That way, you can get it through the new tab page. Just click on the logo of the search engine to change to a different one.
Note: You have to select which search engines will be shown from the list under ‘Show search widget’.

Brave is currently working on a new New Tab page

Maybe you should recommend to them the feature you want over there. They might work on it if you tell them about it over there (on github).

I don’t use default home page. I like express panel with big tiles so I use extension that replaces default home page.
