But I saw over 600 ads and didn’t get paid as much as I had before!
Indeed. As stated before, Brave gives us 70% of the ad revenue they make. Perhaps when you saw that many ads before, the campaigns paid more and so we could profit a little better.
However, we have had a change that was announced and plays a big role in how much we will earn as well. Brave no longer pays for house ads. These are the ads about Brave’s own products and services.
This was announced in places like First to know: Some upcoming changes in Rewards 3.0 and then also carried over in announcements or discussions in places like my own topic at PSA: Current and upcoming changes to Rewards and Creators - #11 by Saoiray
House Ads were often low paying, but they were enough to pad earnings for sure. So like in the 600 ads or so seen, you may have seen 100 or so House Ads.

It was shared by Luke Mulks (VP of Business Operations at Brave) that we ONLY see these house ads if there aren’t any other ads for us to see in that moment. In other words, if we have hit the view limits for all campaigns or something, that is when we see Brave’s house ads.
So if we do see a lot of house ads for Brave, then it just means there’s not a lot of campaigns in our area and/or we have viewed so many ads that we hit the limit.
