If I want to start a private browsing session by clicking the brave icon on the windows taskbar, the private browsing selection is no longer there. Why did they remove this feature?
@Hamz20,
As far as I know and can see, it was not removed. Right now, using the latest browser build (v1.76.73) if I right-click on the Brave icon in the task bar, I still see the New Private Window
option :
@Mattches I can’t believe it. I guess my OS is acting up. Thank you for responding quickly and for verifying that nothing was changed.
To clarify, you’re still not seeing this option appear on your end?
That is correct. I unpinned the icon, and pinned it again but the option for Private Browsing session is still not there. I don’t recall tampering with any browser settings, or taskbar settings. I haven’t messed with my OS either. It’s a bit strange. I can’t find a solution.
@Hamz20 but if you launch the browser and try to open a Private browsing window, you can still do it, right?
Yeah it works that way when I open the browser.
Hmmm very strange. Can you please check and see if this solution works for you?
The solution of activating and deactivating the windows jumplist setting worked!
Big thanks!
