Right clicking brave icon on taskbar to select a Private Browsing is now gone

If I want to start a private browsing session by clicking the brave icon on the windows taskbar, the private browsing selection is no longer there. Why did they remove this feature?

@Hamz20,
As far as I know and can see, it was not removed. Right now, using the latest browser build (v1.76.73) if I right-click on the Brave icon in the task bar, I still see the New Private Window option :

@Mattches I can’t believe it. I guess my OS is acting up. Thank you for responding quickly and for verifying that nothing was changed. :+1:

To clarify, you’re still not seeing this option appear on your end?

That is correct. I unpinned the icon, and pinned it again but the option for Private Browsing session is still not there. I don’t recall tampering with any browser settings, or taskbar settings. I haven’t messed with my OS either. It’s a bit strange. I can’t find a solution.

@Hamz20 but if you launch the browser and try to open a Private browsing window, you can still do it, right?

@Mattches

Yeah it works that way when I open the browser.

Hmmm very strange. Can you please check and see if this solution works for you?

@Mattches

The solution of activating and deactivating the windows jumplist setting worked!

Big thanks!
