Recovering BAT with recovery key

Hi all.
Being a user or a tester of brave rewards since the end of 2019.
With the latest update i can finaly choose my country, but after doing that my previous rewards are no longer there anymore.
I never verified my account, so no custodian?
I had a meaningful sum of money in BAT rewards, so i would like to recover, if this is even possible.
I have a recovery key wich contains 24 words.
Please help.

Are you in a supported region? (see here for list of supported regions)

That 24 words is for Brave wallet. Something which is totally different from Brave rewards.

Did you delete brave or reinstall OS? If so, then vBAT is lost.

Using a recovery key for Brave Rewards was deprecated/removed a very long time ago and is no longer supported.

Did you ever deposit BTC, ETH, BAT, etc. into Brave Rewards in the past? Or did you earn the BAT you are referring to when you say “meaningful sum of money in BAT rewards”?

Yep, i deposited BAT into the brave rewards wallet.

I did not delete brave or reinstall OS. After the last update, i finally managed to choose a country from the list and after doing so, my balance is lost or reset, because now i have only one BAT in my deposit.

So any solutions/suggestions about this problem of mine? Anybody?
Or brave company/community dont give a flying f about users losing money like that?
I will say it again that i didnt do anything extraordinary. Didnt delete brave browser, didnt reinstall OS, just waited almost half a year untill an update releashed that let me choose a country from the list to verify my account, but then, after doing so, all my funds were gone. Most of the funds that i had were deposited not earned.

Okay. So you deposited into brave wallet. Right?
A recovery key for Brave wallet is 22 words. You have one with 24 words, which is for sync (nothing to do with Brave wallet). So most likely can’t do anything.
Since Brave wallet is a non custodial wallet, Noone other than you can access it, unless someone else has a recovery phrase for the wallet.
That is something that must have been started when you created brave wallet. So it’s not Brave’s liability

I feel like i am talking to a wall. Do we have someone here that knows what they are talking about? Like really?
My browser was started in 2019 and back then there was 24 word recovery key for the wallet.
Back then there was written and i quote “Keep this recovery key safe. You can always use this key to get your wallet back if something happens to your browser or computer.”
So i have this 24 word recovery key, but nowhere to use it, it seems!?

The recovery option for Brave Rewards was deprecated and is no longer supported.

Brave Rewards and Brave Wallet are separate features and are not linked.

Brave Rewards is tied to Brave Private Ads. Brave Browser users who opt-in to Brave Rewards will see privacy-preserving, first-party ads in certain locations as they browse. By viewing these ads, users can earn a crypto token called the Basic Attention Token (BAT).

Brave Wallet is a tool that allows you to buy, store, send, and swap almost any crypto asset & NFT, connect other wallets and web3 DApps, and generally manage your whole crypto portfolio. You can store BAT you’ve earned through Brave Rewards in the Brave Wallet, but otherwise the two features are not connected.

If you are attempting to restore your Brave Wallet with your 24 word seed phrase, here are instructions for doing so.

So i entered my 24 words and it still shows zero as a balance.
You were saying that reward and wallet are separate features.
Was there a way in 2019 to deposite BAT strait to the rewards section and it was not related to the wallet?

BAT would have been stored locally in your Rewards profile via the form of vBAT. This has gone away with the recent changes in 1.48x. You can learn more here: https://brave.com/rewards-changes/

Unfortunately, if the Brave browser is reinstalled or reset any BAT stored locally would have been lost. This can be avoided by verifying your wallet with one of our partner custodians and waiting for the scheduled payout.

You may be seeing balance issues due to having an unverified profile.

Yes i remember there was a talk about the need of verifying the wallet, but i was never able to do it. Problem was that it was impossible to choose a country from the starting list.
