Recovering all tabs after a crash?

Description of the issue:
With a large number of windows, most with several tabs, Brave was crashing on start up ‘Restore’

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
This has just occurred - not sure how to reproduce.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Every time I restarted Brave and selected the ‘Restore’ option it would crash. Now it is no longer offering the ‘Restore’ option.

Expected result:

Reproduces how often:

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Running on Linux Mint 19.2
Version 1.0.0 Chromium: 78.0.3904.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
In my previous session I had several windows open, most of which had several tabs. Even after a controlled system shutdown, Brave always starts with a message that it didn’t close down properly so I always have to select the ‘Restore’ option after startup.

This morning, after selecting ‘Restore’, Brave would start restoring all windows/tabs but then just simply vanished within a minute.

If I started Brave from the console, the following output was produced:
peter@Sala:~$ brave-browser

I attempted to restart Brave several times and it crashed within a minute of selecting the ‘Restore’ option.
On searching, I found a comment that startup crashes could be related to ‘hardware acceleration’. I went to settings and turned the hardware acceleration setting off, now restarting Brave no longer offers me a ‘Restore’ option.

I’ve gone into history to attempt to reopen windows but it only ever reopens single tabs, not entire windows with all tabs.
How can I get back all of the windows/tabs which were open in my last session?

Firefox offers the ability to selectively restore windows from a previous session after an improper shut down, but I cannot see how to do this in Brave.

Okay, I’ve not managed to recover my previous windows/tabs, but started reloading some that I could remember/find in History.

Well, guess what? On next restart, exactly the same thing happened - after selecting ‘Recover’, Brave simply vanished.

I have got over the problem of the crash by reverting from version 1.0.0 (bionic) to version 0.70.123 (bioinc) using the Synaptic Package Manager. Now, what I don’t know is whether this is a general issue with Brave1.0.0 or the problem is only introduced in the Mint/Ubuntu build.

Where/how should I be reporting this issue?

The same problem still exists in v1.0.1. Reverting to v0.70.123 once more.

This issue appears to be resolved in v1.1.21.
