Brave crashes on start-up when some old tabs were supposed to be restored

Description of the issue:
I started observing the issue that Brave does not want to start in case I left some tabs opened. I observed two situations already:

  1. Brave starts, shows “Restore” button to restore old tab. If I clicked on it, browser crashed and I had to start it again.
  2. Once clicked on icon on my destop, Brave crashed immediately (no window was shown). To work around that I had to go via right click menu and use “New window” which opened a new window. Then it also offered “Restore button” but if I used it it crashed again.

This is happening with the latest upgrade. This was not happening with a version I was using last week.
The number of tabs which were suppose to be restored was either 44 or 19.

How can this issue be reproduced?
