Recover Passwords from Login Data File

Hello,

My wife shut down her computer (via windows start menu, so properly) and now it won’t turn on. I extracted the hard drive from the computer so I can try and get the brave passwords. I’ve tried a couple decryption programs but the password field is blank. Does anyone have any other advice?

Move the User data folder you saved from your old HDD and copy/paste/replace the User data folder for the new Brave installation.

Thanks. I tried that. All the other settings and bookmarks came over, but when I went to settings, Brave reset some settings and the password area was blank.

Umm. That makes me think if the passwords were even saved. The one I mentioned above works most of the times…
