Recover bookmarks to Linux from failed Windows computer

Description of the issue:
Failed (dead!) Windows desktop
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Remove SSD from dead Windows computer .
  2. Attach SSD to Linux machine

Expected result:
Recovery of Brave bookmarks/favorites etc. to Linux desktop

**Brave Version( check About Brave):**1.71.118

Additional Information:
I have been running Brave on a Windows 10 desktop. That computer totally failed yesterday. I have been working on migrating to Linux Mint 22, but not completed, and had not exported brave bookmarks. Now can no longer run that windows installation.

Now I am on the Linux machine, with Brave ver 1.71.118 running. I need to recover what I can of bookmarks etc. from the windows installation. I have access to the NVME SSD drive from windows machine (via external adapter), so can copy files as needed.

I have located the Brave bookmarks file on the windows SSD.
Tried copying that file to Linux installation. Bookmarks not recognized.

Since I can no longer run the windows installation to export to HTML, is there any way to get Brave for Linux to import/convert those bookmarks?

Anybody have an idea on this?

I have another Windows computer in the house. Wondering if I can somehow copy the Brave profile from dead computer to other windows.
How to do that?
Tried to copy entire “Default” folder off old SSD but extremely long file names fail copying.
Are there folders/files under Default that can be skipped?

Found a way to solve this problem.
Learned that cannot copy Brave on Windows files on a Linux computer because some Windows file names are incompatible with Linux.
Went to another Windows computer and created a new Brave profile.
Closed Brave (required)
Located files for new profile found under Profile2.
Deleted all files from Profile2
Plugged in SSD from dead Windows computer to USB and copied all files from only profile called Default.
Restarted Brave and my bookmarks ARE THERE!
Exported bookmarks to HTML file on flash drive.
Back to Linux computer, imported HTML file.
Problem solved!!!
