RAM usage spikes on windows 10

Description of the issue:
Brave takes up most of the available RAM
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Use the browser with just a few extensions

Expected result:
RAM usage for Brave will spike to 23/32 or whatever amount of RAM you have
Brave Version:
1.11.97
Additional Information:
There’s also 20 different iterations of Brave open in the background. I only have 2 extensions.

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

I believe the problem was actually windows update 2009 (20H2), as a new patch recently came out, after installing the new windows update RAM usage was normal.

Thanks that worked - turn off accelerator
