Quicker access to bookmarklets?

Hi, to use a bookmarklet, I have to click it on the bookmarks bar or navigate to the bookmarklet through the hamburger menu.
Since I don’t like the bar taking screen space and I always have it hidden: is there another convenient way to use a bookmarklet?:

  • could a keyboard shortcut be assigned to execute it? I know this feature has been suggested before, but I’m asking if it can be done through an extension or something like Autohotkey
  • is there an extension or any way to place the bookmarklet in the main bar? the one that contains the URL, back, reload, extension butons… Forgive me, I don’t know its name
  • any other options I haven’t thought?

Thanks a lot to you all! This is the first time I post, but this forum helped me a lot in the past.

EDIT: edited for clarity

@Ers As for an extension to set a keyboard shortcut, I’ve been told Shortkeys but I don’t know how good it is in the long run.

In terms of Brave, I guess only thing I can suggest is based on existing shortcuts. So essentially just would show/hide bookmarks as you want to use them or need space. But I know that’s annoying and not quite what you’re looking for.

  • Save your current webpage as a bookmark Ctrl + d
  • Save all open tabs as bookmarks in a new folder Ctrl + Shift + d
  • Open the Bookmarks Manager Ctrl + Shift + o
  • Show or hide the Bookmarks bar Ctrl + Shift + b

Thanks a lot @Saoiray , I’ll look into Shortkeys.
And thanks for reminding me the shortcuts, I use the last one often but gets annoying pretty fast, I hope Shortkeys gets the job done.

Thanks again.

The system you described in the other thread solves my problem beautifully. I can’t believe I didn’t know about the on hover sidebar.

Thank you, really.

EDIT: I want to mark this as solved, but your post is in the other thread. What should I do?
