Private window retaining information

Description of the issue: Private window is retaining information (cookies?) after it is closed
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open a private window
  2. Sign into Google
  3. Close private window
  4. Open a new private window
  5. When you go to sign into google you are already signed in. Closing the private browser kept whatever it is that google uses to know you are signed in. Cookies maybe? I closed the browser since I was going to sign into a different account.

Expected result: When I close a private window I expect all info for that window to be deleted such as cookies.

**Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.14.84 Chromium: 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit) **

Additional Information: Thank you, your time is appreciated.

@S_Scott,
I’m not able to reproduce this. When I follow your steps, the second time I open a Private window and go to Gmail.com (for example) I’m signed out. If you’re doing this when you have more than one private window open, then this is expected behavior since both windows are in the same private session.

Mattches,

I apologize, I missed the fact I had two private windows open. To be honest I wouldn’t expect them to be in the same session unless they were tabs of each other. Separate private windows should be separate sessions in my opinion.

Thank you for your time, it is appreciated. I am truly sorry for wasting it.

Regards,

Scott

@S_Scott,
No worries at all I appreciate your concern. Better that we get it reported and find out it’s not an issue than to have it not reported at all and have it be an actual issue.
