Poor performance when playing a game

I’ve been using Brave for quite a while, but for the past few weeks, whenever I have a game open and switch to the browser without closing the game, it becomes unusable. Pages freeze, content takes a long time to load, and everything just stops…

What could be causing this and how could I try to fix it? I’m using W11 and until a few weeks ago it worked perfectly.

This only happens with Brave; with Firefox, for example, it doesn’t happen and works normally.

@Garoaks thanks for reporting. Can you confirm your Brave version? Do you have Hardware acceleration enabled?

I’m using 1.78.97 and have hardware acceleration enabled. If I disable it, Brave runs less smoothly.
