Playback issues with brave shield

Description of the issue: Video play-back stuttering with shield active
How can this issue be reproduced?
doesn’t always happen but happens more often than not.
1.watch videos with shield on

Expected result: smooth as it is with shield disabled

Brave Version: Version 1.0.1 Chromium: 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: for whatever reason when the Brave Shield is active videos regardless of quality settings stutter every few seconds(not just youtube), disabling Brave Shield allows videos to play as intended. I didn’t used to have this issue, started roughly within the last 1-2 months.

windows 10 64bit home, 180/180 mb/s

Hi, is there a sample video that consistently stutters? Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in the options?

options, system, Use hardware acceleration when available (then re-test)

@fanboynz it’s not really any specific video, or site. it seemingly happens at random to random videos. I’ve tried turning hardware acceleration off and will update if it continues to happen.
