pc freeze stutters forcing me to restart via button

Ive had brave browser for a while now, maybe 2-3 years, with little to no problems, if any they were fixable. so the problem im having, and have had for around 3-4 months now is that if i have brave browser open for too long on my pc, its kind of spontaneous, maybe 30 minutes to 3 hours, it causes my whole pc to freeze except for my cursor. which, upon moving, lets a frame or a few frames pass by, and lets me click on different tabs, minimize windows, but i cant open or close any applications, nor can i click windows start and shut down/restart my pc. i also cant simply turn off my pc i have to restart it with the button. all this while the framerate, or lack there of, is in the depths. i wouldnt even know what to call it. its like a reverse stutter. my pc is frozen, and then a few frames go by. i wish i got it on recording, and had task manager open whilst since this is kind of hard to describe, i tried once, waited like 2 hours and just gave up because i dont want to waste storage. i have searched the web far too long and decided that i need to call out for help myself since this seems like a very unique happenstance. i would like to also include the fact that i had cookie clicker (browser version) open i think all of the instances that this has happened in. so perhaps this could be a cookie clicker problem? idk. im not sure if i did have cookie clicker open on all of the instances. either way, i need help
