Passwords not showing in Password Manager


Description of the issue:
When I go to view my password manager, it is blank. I need to view one of my saved passwords so I can enter it into FileZilla for FTP access. My issue is not like any of the other posts I’m seeing, where they say the passwords have actually been deleted as well. I can actively go to sites that have saved passwords, and Brave will automatically fill them out. It is just that the Password Manager specifically is showing absolutely nothing (despite me having proven there are passwords saved Brave can access).

How can this issue be reproduced?
Not really relevant to the issue. Not sure how you could recreate this bug, for me all I’m doing is opening Password Manager and the list is empty.

Expected result:
That I can see and view my passwords.

1.68.128, Windows10, x64

I’m having a similar issue. When I go to password manager it is blank. I imported CVS file from another computer. Passwords show for a short time then disappear. This only happens on my laptop running version 1.68.128(64) bit, Windows 11. Autofill works for user name but not passwords.

I switched to the beta version 1.68.124 and the issue is not present there. I’ll continue using the beta version.

launch Brave with " --enable-features=SkipUndecryptablePasswords" command line flag.

  1. Locate Brave shortcut on desktop.
  2. Fully exit Brave
  3. Go to desktop and right click the shortcut then click Properties.
  4. To the target field paste the following string to the end " --enable-features=SkipUndecryptablePasswords". like this:
    C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe" --enable-features=SkipUndecryptablePasswords
  5. Close the dialog with OK and launch Brave using this shortcut.

The passwords should work as usual.
