Password Manager - encryption used and related question about Chrome extension

Hi,

I am pondering whether to load the Chrome extension which will enable me to utilise my Norton password manager in Brave browser on my laptop.

In addition to using Brave, I use search engine duckduckgo, specifically because I wish to put as much space 9as possible) between self and google whenever possible.

So, a couple of questions, if I may.

Is the Brave Password Manager a safe and sufficient option (what encryption does it use?)?

If I would be better using the Norton PM, will loading the Chrome extension to my Brave browser afford Chrome/Google to my browser activity and other privacy related data?

Most grateful for your time and, ina anticipation, your assistance; am a Luddite in such matters.
