Only can save attachments once in Brave

Using Brave, I can pick any email in Yahoo webmail. I click to download the attachment. I can download it once with the save location dialog box coming up. When I click on another email and click download for the attachment, I get a message in the lower left hand corner of brave that says, “Processing request” and then that message goes away but nothing else happens. The only way I can get things to work is to Exit Brave, restart Brave, and then once again, I get one shot at a download. This is a major pain and I need a fix.

The issue is easily reproduced. It occurs every time I need/want to download an attachment.

This started happening about 7-10 days ago but never occurred before that. I could download as many attachments as I needed or wanted.

Anybody got any ideas?

Expected result:
I expect to be able to download any and all attachments as needed

Brave Version:
Brave version 1.59.124

Windows 11 Pro, Version 22H2 installed on 4/21/23
OS Version: 22621.2428

I would guess that someone has seen this before and has a solution. PLEASE SHARE as this is very annoying to have to restart Brave all the time!!!

If no one answers my post, how can this be addressed? This is a VERY ANNOYING issue in Brave!

Does anyone have a suggestion on this issue?

Hello @fyrebalzzzz

make sure you update your brave first as the latest version is

Version 1.60.125 Chromium: 119.0.6045.199 (Official Build) (64-bit)

if it did not help then

could you go to brave://settings/content/automaticDownloads then make sure you select Sites can ask to automatically download multiple files

if that did not help

could you try in private mode and see if it work fine or not?

if it work fine then either you need to clear your cache /cookies or there issue with one of your extension so disable all of them then enable them one by one till you get the one causing the issue

hope that help and have a nice day

Thanks for the reply. Per your reply, I do not have the latest version but it says I am up to date:

I also checked the settings and that button was selected.

Lastly, the cache/cookie clearing worked. It has been a while since I have done so. I DESPISE clearing the cache because I leave tabs open for easy access and it logs me out of the ones that require logins. The good news is, when I see this issue crop up again (and I am sure it will), I know what to do!!

Thanks a million!!!
