Not connecting to web after update

This site can’t be reached

The connection was reset.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

This is the error I get after I updated Brave to Version 1.52.130 Chromium: 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (64-bit) a few days ago.
Now, Brave is only able to connect in TOR.
Regular browser & private will not connect at all. I’ve disabled my VPN & Anti-Virus, reset DNS etc with no luck.

The kicker is, all other browsers work just fine.

Do any of you good goods have a solution?

Could you create a new profile ?
Click on hamburger menu near top right of the screen → Create new profile

We just wanna test if its affecting brave fully or its just something in your profile. So, after creating a profile, don’t add anything to it yet,

I tried creating a new profile just a few minutes ago & got the same results.

I am not sure then. Could you try installing Brave nightly / beta to see if same happens there ?
Would help determine if its Brave issue or something interfering with brave

I just installed the nightly & it works just fine.
Is there a place to get the version prior to the update?

Well, scratch that. The nightly worked fine until I closed & reopened again. Now I’m back to the same problem…

So does blacklisting brave and then whitelisting again help ?
Like, it would just have it refreshed idk lol

Brave is working now… I guess installing the nightly cleared something up.

Update: After restarting my computer, Brave quit working again.
It turns out, that Kaspersky Total Security is the culprit. I’ve whitelisted it with no results. I even went back & downloaded a previous version of Brave.
I’ve tried disabling the firewall & total protection, it STILL doesn’t work.
I have to completely close KTS in order for Brave to work.
