No popup when clicking on a link with a .torrent file

Description of the issue: When I click on a link that has a .torrent extension, no option dialogue pops up, Brave just offers to save it, no option to open Qbittorrent, as I would get in Firefox, for instance.
How can this issue be reproduced? As above, click on a link that has a .torrent extension.

Expected result: an option dialogue to either save or open in QBittorrent

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.26.74 Chromium: 91.0.4472.124 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Thanking you.

If I remember correctly, all Chromium-based browsers behave that way, don’t have another Chromium-based browser currently to give it a look.

If you would like .torrent files to open directly in qBittorent, you’ll have to configure Brave to always open files of this type.

  1. Download a random .torrent file.
  2. You should see the .torrent file in the downloads bar at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click on the arrow → Always open files of this type.
