When opening a new tab, there’s a split second flash of a completely blank white page (or black if in dark mode) before the New Tab Page loads. I would love to have the option to not load anything at all, and just have that completely blank page be my New Tab Page. Essentially, a New Tab Page without a New Tab Page.

That functionality is coming to the browser soon. At this time, you can elect to turn of Background/Sponsored images in Settings, but it will display a gradient on the NTP instead.
The feature you want is on the project board for the new tab page:

Thanks! That’s actually how I have the NTP currently set up. Looking forward to the “empty” New Tab Page option!
