Blank Page (Grey) Appearance

The latest version of Brave on MacOS has put grey colouring as the background to a new page when Blank is chosen in Preferences.
Step-by-step startup of Brave:

  1. Get Started - On Startup > Open the New Tab page
  2. Appearance - (no issues)
  3. New Tab Page - New tab page shows Blank Page

In the previous version of Brave, a new page showed a white background. The grey is most unattractive, so reverting to white would be very welcome [I don’t wish to use the other new page options].

Yes, a new blank page continues to show grey.
Version 1.42.88 Chromium: 104.0.5112.81 (Official Build)
Same for other users reported privately and on Mac-Forums.
