Description of the issue:
When I open a new tab, it takes about 10 seconds or so before it completely shows up. I can enter text in the bar, but it doesn’t display until after the 10 seconds, when it finally shows my recent web site icons. This is really eating into the 2 hours you say you have saved me.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- open a new tab.
Expected result:
The new tab opens and works without the delay.

Version 1.8.96 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
Maybe I’m wrong, but this problem seemed to begin about two weeks ago, after I opened the browser, and found a mostly black window offering some crypto-something-or-other that I opted out of.
I see that this sort of problem was reported at least almost two weeks ago and there’s no sign of a real solution in the thread. I’ll give it a few more day, then it’s bye-bye Brave.
