Ever since the latest Brave app update on Android, it causes the eBay app to crash whenever it is launched through hyperlinks or notifications. The eBay app uses whatever default browser you have to launch itself from links, and from the notification bar. Every time it tries, the eBay app crashes. I confirmed this is a Brave issue, by deleting Brave, installing another browser (Qwant), and now eBay works fine. I reinstalled Brave as the default browser again, and the problem immediately came back.

Can you please tell me what Brave version you’re seeing this on (latest?) and also what type of device you’re using (phone, tablet, etc) and with what Android OS version?

Can you tell me where/what kind of links in the Ebay app that launch in an external browser? I’m having trouble finding anything that doesn’t open in the app itself.
If I click a hyperlink in an email, or an ebay notification in the notification bar at the top of my screen, it launches the default browser, which then launches the eBay app. I just got a message from the eBay community forums that eBay is working on a fix that will be included in their next update, so hopefully that fixes it.

Okay got it. I would imagine that fix would do the trick. If it doesn’t and it appears that Brave is still part of the issue, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further.
