Description of the issue:
Getting a pop up from Microsoft services while using brave:
‘Allow access to Microsoft 365 account Your browser settings are preventing an optimal experience with Microsoft 365. Allow access to improve your experience.’
I think it’s something to do with ads or trackers but I’m not sure. I’ve tried to enable third-part cookies for Microsoft services but nothing changed.
Any support would help
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
1.76.73
@SpiltTea can you tell me or share a screenshot of the message that you’re seeing when you visit MS365? Just logged in on my Win10 machine and don’t see this notice on my end.
Additionally, what exactly is being prevented? Are you still able to use the site normally?
The message is what pops up, when I select allow access it makes me log back into 365 and this is every time I select a different Microsoft service or two services need to communicate with one another. I think it’s something that Microsoft uses being blocked by shield or maybe not allowing cookies I’m just not sure. The main example being when I use forms and open results as a spreadsheet.
After allowing access everything works fine until I close brave and then have to do it again. I’m just trying to avoid logging in every time I want to check something. Also I’m not sure which settings within brave to change to fix it.
@SpiltTea can you tell me (or share a screenshot) of what your Shields panel settings look like for the site when you see that message?
For me, when I visit the site using default Shields settings, everything works normally and I don’t see any message there:
Also, if you simply close out that message, are you still able to use the site/service normally or is some noticeable functionality actually missing? If so, which functionality?
