Make Brave for macOS an .app instead of a .pkg installer?

I am always a bit hesitant when a new application needs admin privileges to be installed, and I backed off from actually installing Brave today.

Is this actually necessary and, if so, could you make the reasons clear during the install process?

Hi arya,

1.) Is is definitely not necessary to install Brave via PKG installer.

When the application is built, also a DMG is created as you can see for example here: https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/releases/tag/v1.15.75

2.) I agree with you: I dont’s want a PKG installer, instead I want the usual DMG.
