Installing Brave in a recent Mac OS for the first time. Normally in Linux. Never used App store before.
Any pros or cons to either way? Problems with updates? Differences in the browser, settings or privacy?

I would recommend using the download from our website for sure. Easiest way to know that it’s coming straight from us, it will always be the most up to date version and 100% safe.
Alternatively, you can download from our official Github as well, but I’d recommend using the brave.com website instead as it will automatically pick the latest stable build for your OS.
