Does Brave have a .pkg distribution method for macOS?

Using Brave browser from a long time

Browser update shows up and click on “Relaunch” to update

Failed with some weird error code (attached in screenshot)

Redirects to a file that gets downloaded (attached in screenshot)

Installer opens and I install

Weird thing is I never came across a .pkg file for installing Brave on my machine and this happens for the first time.
