Lost autofill password and log out on all site

hello
i computer freeze and i open brave i recover my open onglets as usual
but i got log out on all site, the brave reward is broken, and i lost auto fil passwords

i check the login data file, stuff are there but password is not visible

then i activate sync i copy my code from my other computer
but that did nothing, password not coming back

i open my onglets, on my second computer for now, there the passwords are there , even i did not login on the site from that computer before

but back on my main computer, looks like synchronize is doing nothing, i also can’t see my other computer in history tab, but the second computers see this one

then i close all, and i rename user Brave-Browser\User Data, and copy the one from my second computer to this one, i did that in the past 1 time when i had trouble with brave rewards
but this time it doesn’t work, after copy nothing changed

when i login in my google , i manually enter the password, then i notice it save in the autofill but it’s only that one, all the others they won’t come back

and also i can’t fix brave reward because i cannot login back to gemini, it’s gray out (it says gemini is not supported in your region) even i receive the adds

if i delete brave and reinstall, and use the synchronize , should i be able to recover all including the brave rewards ?

so i deleted the file Login Data , it created a new one, and i got the passwords

so only problem left, is the brave rewards, i can’t connect to gemini , as it’s says it s not aivalable

Sorry that I cannot accurately predict the fate of data that you have apparently lost.

Always Be Prepared

Sometimes, the following two steps, are sufficient to get Brave Browser running properly.

With BB not running, delete the ‘Caches’ folder, and delete the ‘Cookies’ file.

Caches (folder):

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Cache\

Cookies (file):

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Cookies

Clear cookies, cache, history, etc.

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

brave://settings/clearBrowserData

Select the Advanced tab

Set Time range to “All time”

ENABLE everything except:

  • Passwords and other sign-in data

(Myself, I would NOT make that exception)
(because I would have a backup prepared.)
(In other words, be prepared.)

Click on the “Clear data” button

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE for WINDOWS OS USERS

And keep track of your backups. Be sure to store a copy on an external drive.

Maybe create a folder: “BraveSoftwareBackups”

And name each backup, contained therein, in chronological order:

20241231_Tuesday_BraveSoftwareBackup.html"

hi thanks for help but only problem left is the brave rewards

i clean but not helping the brave rewards

i cannot clic [Reset Brave Rewards data…] or it will be lost

i also cannot connect back to gemini , as the option is gray out

should i try to recopy all the data from the other computers, without the Login Data file (as that one did not work)

ok so i have tried, looks like they change something over the years, it doesn’t work
both computers use the same user name and all the old setting from many years a go was a clone from this one, i mean , they both had exactly the same files in the brave folder when i install first time the brave and rewards

but looks like i copy the hole folder back, and copy the new Login Data file
but, no passwords shows up, and the brave reward is not connected to gemini

somehow brave see it s not the same computer
