I openend brave and all of my accounts from all websites have been signed out. There are no saved accounts and google autologin is not available as well as all my gmails accounts have logged out automatically as well. I can see my bookmarks and extensions but when I open any websites it looks like i just installed the browser. Is there any fix? Please help.
Edit: my browser crashed before this happened and i sent crash report but there is no crash report id when I checked in “brave://crashes”
Same issue here, I really hope this can be fixed because it’s been a long time since my passwords were backed up…
Which OS are OS version are you using? (such as iOS 16.4, Android 10, Android 12, etc)
Which version of Brave are you using? (such as Brave 1.50.119, 1.49.1, etc)
Do you have your device synced with any other devices?
Did any other information, such as passwords or history, vanish as well?
@sampson saw you post in another similar topic. Maybe you can take a look at this as well?
Your initial questions are on-point; it would greatly help us to know which version of Brave, on which type of device, and whether or not Sync is enabled and in use.
My brave version is 1.50.119. I have not enabled sync but I did not reinstall the browser or change device. Anyway, thankyou for replying but I have manually logged in to most of the websites by now but its possible others faced this issue.
Preface: I opened Brave yesterday and I noticed that my appearance was reset to darkmode (windows default), when I normally had lightmode for over a year. I thought nothing of it until I went to login to a site and noticed I was logged out of it and all of my other sites. My autofill saved passwords are missing from brave://settings/passwords. However, my browsing history, saved payments, addresses, cached images, extensions (only Google translate), and bookmarks are still there.
I went into AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default and saw 4 files with the name “Login”, when I open “Login data”, it is a ~400 KB file with all of the sites I have logins on but the passwords are encrypted.
Furthermore, I went into brave://crashes/ and noticed that I had a crash on the same day but I do not know if it was before or after my passwords went missing, I sent it nontheless.
Current Brave version: v 1.50.119
I have NOT enabled Sync, or changed System User/Pass.
Please help me resolve this issue!

@czx, It looks like we already have a thread open for your issue at Autofill passwords missing. Let’s continue to use that to avoid any confusion
