When I click on a link from an outside source, such as Twitter, it opens a completely new instance of Brave. My Default Browser is Brave (Version 0.58.17 Chromium: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)). The new instance opens up in this version:
Brave
0.25.304
Brave Sync
v1.4.2
libchromiumcontent
69.0.3497.100
Muon
8.1.8
Node.js

OS Architecture

OS Platform

I can’t find a setting that indicates that new links should be opened in a new instance. When I click on a link in the default version of Brave, it opens a window as a new tab, which I would expect.
Yes, the 0.25 version.
Then you can make the new version your default browser as follows:
Key combination: Windows key + i (hold down) until the preferences window opens. There you click on “Apps” then on the left side on “Standard Apps”.
For web browsers, select Brave. Done!
